This talk was presented at TEDxIBABangalore, an independently organized TED event hosted at Indus Business Academy, Bengaluru.
In 2014, during the Indian General Elections, I witnessed firsthand how misinformation and viral messages influenced public opinion. This was one of the experiences that led me to start Check4Spam — a platform dedicated to fact-checking and helping people separate truth from fake forwards.
I’ve written about this personal journey on Medium, sharing how a sense of social responsibility combined with a passion for technology sparked the idea.
